What We Believe

We believe in one true and living God, creator of all things, eternally existing in loving unity of three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—each co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and infinitely perfect.
We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God, given by the Holy Spirit through the writings of human authors. The Bible provides instructions for daily living.  We believe application of God’s Word nurtures transformation in the life of Christians.  The Bible corrects us when we are wrong, teaches us what is right, and prepares us to serve God and others.
We believe Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully human and fully divine, the virgin-born Son of God.  We believe Jesus reveals God’s grace and God’s loving provisions for all humanity.  We believe that people are reconciled unto God only as they place their faith in the salvation provided in Jesus Christ.
We believe salvation occurs when a person accepts God’s unchanging, unconditional love, by faith, in the finished work of Jesus.  We believe God freely offers eternal life to all people.  We believe when a person confesses their sins to God, asks God for forgiveness, and invites Jesus into their heart, the person receives eternal life.
We believe God the Holy Spirit is our comforter and our guide who comes alongside us, to aid in our spiritual growth.  We believe the Holy Spirit renews, sanctifies, and empowers Christians to love and to show compassion.  We believe the Holy Spirit gives us power to abide in God’s presence daily. We believe the Holy Spirit intercedes for us when we pray.  We believe the Holy Spirit administers the spiritual gifts God gives to each Christian for the edification of other believers and to bring glory and honor to God.
We believe Jesus will return again to gather those who have a relationship with him.  We do not know the day or time when Jesus will return; only God knows. Those who rejected God’s love and lived on earth separated from God will live eternally separated from God.  Those who accepted God’s love and lived on earth in relationship with God will live eternally in relationship with God in heaven.
